2024 Avalon Irrigation Regulations
Avalon Borough Council has approved new irrigation regulations for 2024 and beyond. The purpose of these regulations is to preserve a valued natural resource and to avoid increasing the Borough’s water allocation permit or installing a new well. Avalon Spring Paper Shredding Day and Bulk Trash Collection
The Avalon Department of Public Works invites Avalon property owners to visit our annual paper shredding day.

Avalon’s spring bulk trash collection program allows property owners to place bulk trash items curbside.

Stone Harbor Adopts 2024 Budget
The local purpose tax rate will increase by one cent. The biggest change was the addition of $13 million for water/sewer projects.
Route 47 Road Work
Prep for work along Route 47 has begun. Once the prep work is complete, “approximately 3 miles on Route 47 in both directions between West Rio Grande Boulevard in Lower Township and Hawthorne Avenue in Middle Township; approximately 2 miles on Route 109 in both directions between Yacht Avenue in Cape May and Route 9 in Lower Township; and approximately 4 miles on Route 147 in both directions between Route 9 in Middle Township and New York Avenue in North Wildwood.” Leanna Nelson, of the state Department of Transportation, reported to the Herald.

Avalon Police Bicycle Auction

Where: Avalon Public Works, 13th Street and Dune Drive
The Avalon Police Department invites you to attend the annual bicycle auction. The bicycle auction allows the Borough to dispense of surplus property while allowing individuals to purchase a used bicycle for the summer. All bicycles are sold in as-is condition with proceeds benefitting public safety efforts in our community. An advanced viewing of the bicycles is available on site for one hour between 11:00am and 12 Noon.
